I was looking at the retoware episode on youtube about the differnts between the US & Japanses version...I know the game will run on the NES with a converter

The thing i'm trying to say is, would it work like it was in the Famicom

Why oh why is it called Gryzor?  The title screen has the kanji 魂斗羅 , which is kon-to-ra, or Contra.  In the arcade version, it even has the katakana below it コントラ , which is ko-n-to-ra.  And yet, for some reason, everyone insists the Japanese version is called Gryzor.  I've never been able to figure out why

I know I'm splitting hairs here, but 魂斗羅 would be more like kon-to-ra, when you split the reading of the kanji up in 3 parts.
