I'm looking for some fun games for the Famicom

Can anyone recommend some fun Famicom exclusives that wern't released on the NES? I'm looking to start collecting some more famicom games

Devil World - Pacman clone with some hilarious religious imagery

Crisis Force - vertical shooter that has the most impressive Famicom graphics

Mother - RPG the prequel if you will to Earthbound, you will need an English guide though

Holy Diver - hard as hell, but if you like Castlevania this game is pretty cool

Star Wars(Namco version) - If you like Star Wars this game is a good laugh for the sheer innacuracies. It's actually a really solid game though. A top notch action platformer, with levels that are reminiscent of Castlevania, Kid Icarus, and so on.

cool, I've played devil world and the star wars game before, but I'll have to check out the others. I'm a huge fan of the castlevania games so I'll have to look for Holy Diver
Some others that looked cool are splaterhouse and that "kid dracula" castlevania game

I haven't played either of those, so I can't help you there. I'm still a Famicom n00b for the most part.

Devil World was released for the NES, but only as a Pal version (in Sweden it was released 1987-07-15).
I dont really like DW anyway.

I dont really like DW anyway.

PAL doesn't count!  Yeah it was released in Europe, but is very rare in that version. I figured I'd include it because the only way most people are going to get a hold of it is in Famicom form.

Do it! Mother is maybe one of the greatest games of all time! Or order one at gamereproduction.com so you can play the original english prototype that never got released here. I own both the Famicom version and English repro, and I must say that it's all worth buying!

Daiku no Gensan 2 - funny side-scrolling action game

Moon Crystal - same, but with smooth main character animation

Mappy Kids -  good side scrolling platform

Magical Kids Doropie - Rockman like platform

Ninja Jajamaru Ginga Daisakusen - pretty good side scrolling

Wagyan Land 1, 2, 3 - same

This had an NES release as The Krion Conquest (albeit with a very modified intro).

Splatterhouse - An easy but fun platformer, spinoff of the arcade game with super deformed characters.

Yume Pengin Monogatari - Another easy but very fun platformer from Konami.  You can't really die in the game but istead all the enemies throw cakes and other foods at you.  Your penguin being the greedy little hog he is gobbles down everything you come into contact with and progressively gets fatter and slower as he eats.  You have to avoid food and grab diet drinks to keep your weight at a reasonable level otherwise when you will be too fat to rescue your girlfriend.

Recca - One of the best (and hardest) shooters on the system.  An original will probably break the bank so you may want to pick up a reproduction instead.
