It's never stated in any profiles. It's not in the game. It's not in the manual. Wait, let me check...

Nope! Not there either.  Apparently he used to be 4'8" & now he's 5'7 in the Wii version according to GI:

Yeah, no citation.  I saw it, too.

What gives?  Is there no love for us short people?  I always saw Mac as someone I could relate to. :(

That would explain Giga Mac.

I don't think Little Mac is all that short. He and Doc seem to be normal sized people during the jogging cut scene. I think Glass Joe and all of his friends are just nine feet tall.

Jedi Master Baiter

Screw them all! >:(

I'm sick of this shit.  They could have just said he was 5'3 or something.  And I doubt Rey Mysterio Jr. is 5'6 either.

Lies! All lies!

I'll show them.

I'm psyched for it.  All of the NES fighters have been confirmed by Nintendo, except Mr. Dream and the Sandman.  Plus, they added new characters.  As long as it has Classic Controller support, this is going to be one of the best games for the Wii so far.  It'll also give me an excuse to get one of those cables to use a NES controller on the Wii from Retrozone ;D

EDIT** Blue Protoman..you say you live in New York.  Do you happen to live near NYC?  Punch-Out was released exclusively at Nintendo World there yesterday.

EDIT 2** Also, why do you think they changed Bald Bull's skin color?  He was white only in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.  Not the arcade version, not the Famicom reward version, not any of them...except MTPO

Uh, Bald Bull's always been Turkish.

He definitely doesn't have the same skin tone as Little Mac or Glass Joe.

nintendodork

If you have only played MPTO, then you'd think that, but look at him in SPO or the Famicom Prize one, or the aracde version (I think).  Even in Punch-Out for Wii,  he isn't white...or tan...or whatever.  He's darker in all of them.

I think it's a limitation of the NES's color palette.  Here's the colors you can use:

Color 08 is used for Tyson and Mr Sandman.  Bald Bull isn't meant to be that dark, so they would have had to used 18 instead, which seems to match the screenshots.

Obviously, the arcade and SNES and Wii have a larger palette, so they can give him the proper skin tone.

Jedi Master Baiter

To me, he looks more like 28, but let me check...

He's apparently 27 & Mike Tyson (on the title screen) is 17.

UglyJoe

Heh, ok, so I was guessing on the colors.  I'm at work so I can't really research as much as I'd like to.

But my point remains the same: there aren't enough colors in the NES palette to get Bald Bull's skin color exactly right.
