SOLD

Thank you to everyone else that supported my thread.
   :redcart:

As the title states, I'm selling off my copy of Gimmick for Famicom.  The game is in very nice shape, with little apparent wear.  The label is still glossy.  Manual is in excellent shape.  Box has some mild wear, notably at the top of the spine with what appears to be some slight discoloration.

Price is negotiable, and includes shipping within the US.  Int'l shipping would be +$30, as I only ship overseas on pricey items EMS (w/ full insurance and tracking).  Please be aware of that if you live in a country with high customs duties.

I'm open to trades or trades+cash, but my list is very specific:

- Final Fantasy Tactics Advance GBA SP set, mint
- Dragon Quest flyers and posters (PM me for specifics, as I have quite a few of them already)
- Doki Doki panic handbill
- Square-button Famicom CIB, mint
- 3DS Zelda-edition CIB, new or mint

No offense mate, but if people are saying it's going for about $300 on ebay and YAJ, why would they buy it from you for more?  It's not like there's loads of money floating around.    I mean, people on here cut each other deals, but they're not stupid.  You can't really just expect to pull well over $100 more than the going rate of a rare cart.  It's kind of rude, if you ask me.

fcgamer

Well in his defence, he states that the price is negotiable.  My guess is that this is the amount of money he would ideally like to receive for the game.  I see nothing wrong with that, and would rather list at $400 and then take a best offer of $300 than list too cheap and realize later that I was raked over the coals during the sale.

I think it is very important to give people deals, and I try to give a deal here and there.  With rare items though, it becomes a difficult situation.  I have some items that I would not take less than $100 for, just because they are rare and I would rather keep them in my collection than sell them for less.  Maybe he just values his game at $400, and maybe someone here is willing to pay it?

FCGamer - it's not serious, it's just a piss-take from another thread, he's just being petty about it.  Haggar was looking for Gimmick for a low price and got called out on it.

Hehe, good to know mate.  :)  I just get frustrated when people jump on others about prices sometimes though - if something doesn't sell for a price, then the seller can decide if he or she wants to lower the price or not.  ;)  But thanks for letting me know about haggar's intents with this one bro.

Price is about correct and there is not so many Gimmick's floating around. Why so much fuss about Gimmick price, when noone complaining about golden Punch Out, for example?

I don't like this price driving. Seller stated price and even allowed OBO. All clear.
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

L_E_T's got the right of it.  The guy's just being a jerk.  Pay him no mind.  I know I'm certainly not, since I got several free bumps out of it   ;D

I'll do mikehaggar a favor.  Here's the completed listings for Gimmick in the last couple of months.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320975053671  September 08, 2012.  Cart only.  $211.49 shipped from Japan to US.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/320977508431  September 12, 2012.  Cart only.  $170.49 shipped from Japan to US.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110952552499  September 17, 2012.  Cart only.  $215.00 shipped from Japan to US.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/280954385028  September 06, 2012.  CIB.  $336.00 shipped from Japan to US.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110949345237  September 16, 2012.  CIB.  $350.00 shipped from Japan to US.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/280953735544  September 16, 2012.  CIB.  $404.70 shipped from Japan to US.

Current copies of a cart or CIB on eBay?  Zero as of October 29, 2012.
Last copy seen on eBay?  September 17, 2012.

So let's see...  You come in here with your first post and ask to pay $100 for a cart that is going for at least $70 more.  After being told you're lowballing people, you up your lowball by $20, which is still really low.  You blame eBay   ???

I put my CIB copy up for sale at the top end of the verifiable range of prices with a best offer option, knowing and willing to negotiate with a reasonable buyer.  I list all condition issues, post plenty of pictures, and haven't actually argued with anyone about my prices.

I mean, I see what you did there with copying my post and turning it back on me, but it's just a poor, poor attempt to troll.  If you're going to call someone out on something, at least do it when they deserve it.  Not, y'know, when they're spot on with their sales policies and pricing history.   8)

Also, still available.  Bump  :)

manuel

I'm also with Epic_Lotus  on this one.
These days 400$ seems like a reasonable price.
It's his good (and it's a very much sought after item), so he can set the price. I don't see any problem with it even if he asked 500. If there's no buyer, he can't sell it of course, but if somebody's willing to pay that price, good for both parties!

Good luck with the sale!

Well averaging it out...

CIB shipped from Japan to US:

- $336
- $350
- $392 (changed this price to reflect airmail shipping)

That's an average of $359.30

Based upon the current market $400 with local shipping included seems pretty spot on. I imagine if someone offered something of $350 and over the seller would seriously consider the offer, so any potential buyer is only paying the going market rate.

It's like average temperature of patients in a hospital - some has fever, but some already in the fridge and average is 36.6. Cheapest was beginning of September and nothing appeared during October. Price is going up and according to prices for some other carts i would not predict, where is maximum.
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
