Sharp’s Famicom Titler is the strangest combination of two electronic functions. On the one hand, the Titler is a Famicom with S-video capability. On the other hand, the Titler allows you to add subtitles to your home videos.
Right. That’s weird, isn’t it? So, if you’re a Famicom gamer who has a bunch of VHS tapes with camcorder video on them, and you’re in the mood to some subtitling, the Titler is the machine for you.
The Titler is a rare system, and is actually pretty hard to find because it’s highly sought after. The Titler is unique because it’s the only Famicom to have S-video.
Expect to pay in the hundreds for a Titler, especially if it’s boxed.
