Post by: FamicomFreak on June 03, 2007, 02:56:32 pm
Wouldn't it be kewl if we had a tournament between us playing famicom/nes games via kaillera? and like have a league and all or something like that. Well tell me what you think.

That could be cool. I don't know what Kaillera is, but I go to some forums where they have a competition board or thread and they post a game challenge, etc. every month. Could do something like that, too. I just don't know how many people are into that sort of thing. :)

I play online using Kaillera very often, sadly with US servers I have like 250ms of LAG, so I'm out, but you people maybe can do it, depends of your connection. I don't know what Emulator you people use for Famicom roms :)

I would be interested in playing nes games. Maybe I don't know 2 player contra and whoever survives the most wins of course you can get your team mate killed in many ways lol

I don't know about using these online emulators, but downloading one that has ISP online play would work. :)

How about some Off-Road or Gauntlet II?

I suggest Penguin Kun Wars. That game online is awesome, also Bomberman 2. :)

Cool. I was curious how many of the VHS were given out. And I didn't know they gave out phone cards. I've got to find me one of those! Thanks for the translation!

The Japanese are crazy over phone cards.
Every now and then (often limited edition) phone cards come with magazines, books, games, dvds or random other stuff.

What exactly would they do? The only phone cards I'm familiar with are the ones Mexicans buy to call their relatives in Mexico.

Telephone cards can be used in (almost) any public telephone.
There are also such telephones inside hotels, restaurants and other facilities.

Considering the makers of Pokemon are Japanese it was likely that stuff resembles what you'd find in Japan. :)

WAIT THEY RNT AMARIKIN THEN Y DO THAI TALK INGLISH ON THE SHOW HUH.

I've met people who think that all shows on American tv are made in America, and that all videogames were made in Japan.

Wasn't the first commercially available video game (I think the Magnavox Oddysey?)invented by Ralph Baer, a German? :D
