Title: Hameln no Violin Hiki
Post by: Protoman on October 17, 2015, 01:56:18 am
Very interesting game, but seems to have one major flaw... I don't see a way to save or use a password?? And the game seems pretty decently long too, do I really have to clear it in one sitting?

I can't find any info online but it's a pretty obscure game to us english-speakers, so maybe it's because of that. Does anyone here know?

Yep, as great as this game is, it has no continuation system whatsoever and like you said, it is quite long. I've beaten it a few times though so if you're willing to set aside a couple hours it's definitely beatable.

I checked out the anime once and it has a totally different style than the game. The game is based on the manga which is much more light-hearted and comical, while they tried to make the anime more serious and made big changes to the background story. It was a disappointment though, the manga seems more interesting.

I bought and completed this on SFC many many years ago.
Its a nice platformer but, it is very slow paced...
