Title: For Sale: Famicom Twin-Pin converters
Post by: prince tomato on August 18, 2020, 03:29:46 am

hi y'all,

some of you may have seen these already, but i'd like to offer them here at a lower price.
these converters were developed specifically to solve the issues with having both an NES and Famicom permanently set up, and taking up loads of space, and fiddling around with cheap cartridge adapters that may or may not work,
require mods to pass through expansion audio, and may ruin your original Famicom connector.

the pins on the edge connector of this converter are double ENIG gold plated, so no more corrosion and perfect connection every time,
they are made to the exacts specs of an original Famicom cartridge, 1.2mm thickness,
and the NES cartslot has the correct 2.5mm pitch.
and will fit every original Famicom console, HVC-001, AV Famicom, Sharp Twin Famicom, Sharp Titler, and most clone consoles as well.

expansion audio from Power Pack and Everdrive are connected and attenuated correctly,
and every Famicom accessorie will fit and work in the Twin-Pin converter,
Karaoke set, Ram Adapter, etc,
anything that fits in an o.g Famicom will fit in the Twin-Pin.
you can leave it in your console permanently, and enjoy dual functionality of both NES and Famicom in a very neat compact package, since the NES is basically a stripped down Famicom.
compatibility with NES games is pretty much 100%, with the exception of a couple of PAL optimized games that will not run correctly on any NTSC machine.
all of these are assembled by me personally, by hand, and not (yet) available anywhere else.

currently i have 8 colors available:

-1 Grey,
-2 White,
-1 blue,
-1 yellow,
-1 green,
-2 glow in the dark,
-2 neon green
-and 2 Hot Neon Pink for the synthwave fans out there.
red = sold out
black = sold out

they are $45 a piece,
and shipping from the Netherlands will depend on your location, see attached PostNL shippingrates,
shippingrates from the Netherlands are pure extortion, there is not a lot i can do about that,
the good news is i can ship 8 of these for the same price as 1,
so if you are interested, and you can get some local members/friends in on this, you could save a lot on shipping.
please message me with any questions you may have, and i'll get right back  to you asap.

I'm trying to figure out shipping costs to USA.  Seems like either €11.00 or €23.00 depending on weight?

Ah, these look so cool! I love the notched design to fit the eject lever. I'll be strongly considering picking one of these up. You're not kidding about those shipping rates though :o

Seriously, though, these are beautiful!

yes, under 350 grams without tracking is 11 euros,
but it is a bit heavier than 350 grams including box and packaging, so tracked shipping to the U.S would come to 29 euros,
and the crazy thing is, i can ship 1 of these, or 6 of these in 1 box, and it would cost the same.

I wonder if the enclosure can be modified to use a Game Genie slot in the 72 pin slot?
