Title: Alucard is Dracula Spelled Backwards
Post by: KEVMAN569 on May 16, 2008, 05:42:13 pm
I finally realized Alucard (Dracula's son from Akumajou Denetsu) is Dracula spelled backwards.  I'm retarded. :D

I never would have noticed. :O

On a semi related note, the pokemon Ekans and Arboc are just snake and cobra backwards.

You didn't know about Ekans/Arbok? Then here are some you might not have realized:

Charizard = Char + lizard
Pikachu = pika (Japanese onomotopoeia for "Light Sparks.") + chu (Japanese onomotopeia of the sound a mouse makes.) may also be a refrence to the artic rodants also known as Pikas.
Hitmonlee = hitman/ hit + Bruce Lee
Hitmonchan = hitman/hit + Jackie Chan
Eevee = based around the first two letters in "evolve". Also spelt the same backwards.
Dragonite = Dragon + knight (as in, knight in shining armor)
Wobbuffet = wobbly + tuffet

Bulbasaur- Bulb + Dinosaur
IvySaur- Ivy + Dinosaur
Venusaur- Venus (Fly trap?) + Dinosaur
Squirtle- Squirt + Turtle
Wartortle+ War (I think + Tortoise + Turtle
Blastoise+ Blast + Tortoise

And where the hell did the big metal cannons in it's back come from? It's like a robot, parts of it's shell fold up, to use cannons. WTF?

also something of note: in all of the main games, your character is always in the centre of the screen. You don't actually move around the world, THE WORLD MOVES AROUND YOU.

In Soviet Russia, Castlevania world moves you!

I think he was talking about pokemon world.

In Soviet Russia, Pokemon run up to you, beat you up, put you in a ball, and make you fight with other people.

This is quite possibly the best parody idea for Pokemon ever concocted! What is it from, or did you make it up? If so, kudos to you my good friend!

Just thought of it.

I've always kind of wondered about that.

Really, WTF?

You find some animal, beat it up, and force it into a ball. Then, you make it fight, and sometimes you have to throw some rock at it to make it bigger.

If it were real, it would be called "animal abuse". Not being "Pokemon Master".

More like Slave Master. Massa.

You buy them and trade them. Sounds like slavery.

Whatever, the games are pretty good. Well, Except Diamond and Pearl. Those are awful.

I think POKEMON is a pretty cool guy.

Eh does animal abuse and
DOESNT AFRAID OF ANYTHING.

haha, it is kind of conterdictory. think of the bad guys in Pokemon - they steal pokemon by trapping them in nets, cages, bags or something of the like. the good guys steal pokemon by trapping them in little red and white balls and then carry six of them around on their goddamn belts as a form of a fasion statement.

And then somehow, if they catch more than 6, one gets teleported. Also, somehow they have a way of telling if you have more than 6.

It's also strange that they just happen to know which pokemon are in which balls. :P

Another thing about pokemon that I didn't understand is that in the episode where dragonite is first introduced, he is a huge HUGE pokemon. Also, when telling the tale of pokemon, they say there are 151 known types of pokemon (at the time) but noone knew about mewtwo or mew for that matter, and noone had ever seen dragonite before. Don't even get me started on the supposed extinct pokemon which noone had ever seen before.

Or the other ares from different games.

LAIK WTF?

They didn't even know they were there, and Johto is connected directly to Kanto.

How about how they automatically know a whole slew of new pokemon every season. They don't slowly find out about them. They just automatically know 100 more pokemon every season. :P

And how old are they?
In the first one, they are 10.

Who lets a 10 year old go on adventures with strangers and play with wild animals?

Also.

Gary Motherfucking Oak.

He's 10, But he has a car, a bunch of cheerleaders,and no matter what you do, he's already done it. Twice.
