After many headaches, I finally got myself a copy of the Famicom Pirate of Final Fantasy 7. Check out my blog for more pictures. Tomorrow I am going to post some detailed pictures of the board.

Congrats on the find. Good luck trying to enjoy the game, though. It's pretty awful.
Yeah, and hard as hell. But I am a huge fan of the older NES era RPGs because I grew up with them, so I can probably grind a little more pleasure out of it than the average gamer, but still...
Congrats.
The box looks cool. Unfortunately the color of the cart doesn't match the Final Fantasy theme.
wow totally awesome man! Congrats!
Is there by chance a rom dump anywhere? I'm not so much interested in the game itself but rather the sprites. FFVII NES bead sprites? hell yes.
I didn't know Robocop vs Terminator came in a box like that, and it looks like lots of work went into designing the box & instructions (of FF7).
:o It's cool. I want it. :o
Love the color instruction booklet.
Wow :o the box and instructions are amazing for a pirate game
Any idea why the seller wouldn't ship to Canada?
it's a recent pirate though isn't it? I mean the box has recent artwork anyway but I read the hack was new too.
I like it just because of the effort that went into all that. More fan service than famicom piracy!
I don't think it was fan service. I think they were just trying to cash in on the Advent Children buzz.
...by releasing an 8 bit hack adaptation that is 20 years old? hmmm....
Could be though, I suppose. I just meant that the effort there makes it look like fan service :D, makes me laugh either way!

Don't forget the cartridges will have cost next to nothing out there and with it being such a big franchise they would be counting on some very easy sales.

By using the title "Final Fantasy VII Advent Children" on the box cover and by using the Advent Children DVD artwork for the cover.
There's really no fan service in the game. The character portraits aren't even FF (they're ripped from a Super Robot Taisen game).
oh dear, I take it all back then!
The only thing I can say is... I WANT THIS GAME BADLY!!! :) I don't care if it's shite. I want it.
