Hands down for me it's splatter house
Hi no Tori? Or maybe Kero Kero Keroppi 2? Hmmm...
The Ninja kun games :)
Crisis Force
I gotta go with Fantasy Zone 2. It was the first Famicom game I ever bought and I still love it to this day.
Mitsume ga Tooru :fire:
Gimmick.

Gimmick.
Not sure if that counts, seeing as it got a Scandinavian release as well.
Anyway, I'd probably say Recca.
I think this just a hack, Im not sure, but i do remeber reading it was relesed only in japan
but past all the stalling but Super :mario: Bros 2j is pretty boss
I think mine is Joy Mecha Fight. It's not necessarily the best game or anything, but in terms of Japan-only games it's a masterpiece.
Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa, Armadillo, Holy Diver Parodius Da! Moon Crystal, Recca and the amazing RPG Sweet Home deserve a mention of course.
If you're talking japan-only 'editions' then I'd do with Tokkyuu Shireri Solbrain (Japanese counterpart of Shatterhand), Gimmick! or Rockman 2.
Parodius Da! is amazing too but it actually saw a European release.

;)
Still Gradius II for me. (http://www.oocities.org/almontang/PlanetGradius/gradius/anime/VicViper-Gradius3-game-fixed.gif)

That was going to be my choice but I remembered at the last second that it got that euro release so I dismissed it.
I've only ever played it on Famicom though. ;D
Gimmick aka mr.gimmick and for mention hebereke aka uforia ero releases don't count must be famicom only release

I'll allow it if you post it in a link with a warning that says NSFW. But that's me. Someone else might delete it.
Too bad I can't say Castlevania III just because its soundtrack is Japanese only.
...oh, well, ok. Seeing as how my collection is still modest I'll put Crisis Force and Bio Miracle Upa (FDS).
Mother, Final Fantasy III, Adventure Island IV... Japanese version of Rampart!
Gradius II
Super Mario Bros. 2
How is it possible that this thread has gone through two pages so far without anyone mentioning Yume Pengiun Monogatari? ;)
I'll also add a vote for Hi no Tori, its one of my favorites.

There should be an internet adage for these kinds of comments:

LOL, yeah. The ``how has nobody yet`....response. No, that doesn`t quite roll off the tongue.
