For N64, Perfect Dark by a longshot (stupid combat simulator!) <- the best part is, I can look this up!
Mine would be Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4. More than a thousand hours on each.
Probably Super Street Fighter IV, as I have about 40,000 ranked matches on record on that, and that doesn't count all the time spent playing it in the arcade. Honorable mentions would be Street Fighter II, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and Armadillo for the Famicom. (Just because I've beaten it so many times)
Super Mario Bros. 3, holy shit I've played that game my whole life.
Hm. Street fighter IV around 885 hours, SSFIV near 420 hours. I used to play EQ (10+ years ago) I bet I spent alot of time on that as well.
mario party 2 japanese version... i have around 34,000 coins in the bank on the game and figure each star gets you 50 coins, so... i have played most likely close to 1,000 20-round matches.

The longest amount of time is Pokemon FireRed for GBA. I've literally logged in more than 400 hours into it across many years by doing the most optional thing ever - Having one of every obtainable Pokemon. That meant Having a Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and a Vensusaur, and obviously having to train and raise the Ivysaur and Vensusaur.
Another close one is Fallout 3 where I logged in almost as much time.

and that's just FireRed. I've played through at least two games from every generation so far. added all up, there's easily over 1500 hours piled in Pokemon.
Tecmo Bowl, and all the Mega Man games for Nintendo, all the Street Fighters for SNES,PS1,2,3 and WWF No Mercy for N64, I really lost a lot of hours to this one lol.
I have literally never played any boxing or wrestling games. There's none that I own for any system, unless you count Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Am I missing out on something? Or are westling games only for wrestling fans?
Yeah they seem to be pretty much exclusively geared towards wrestling fans. From what I've tried, they most certainly don't play like a fighting game. I used to like the Wrestlemania game for NES when I was little.
The THQ/AKI games for the N64 stand out really well, whether you're a wrestling fan or not If you want to get into it, start with WCW/NWO Revenge. followed by the WWF titles.
As for NES, Pro Wrestling stands the test of time. Wrestlemania Challenge is alright, too.

That actually looks pretty fun... do you know if the ports are any decent/arcade accurate? I might try to pick it up for the PS1 or something.
Wrestlemania the Arcade Game was HORRIBLE. I hated it so much that when I first rented I broke the game out of frustration lol. I wish they would make a new Fire Pro Wrestling cause those games were great.
I love this game had it for the genesis and played it alot in the arcade.
I have probably 100 hours logged in Kirby Super Star. I've played that game so hardcore for years and years.
I also have like 50 hours logged in Tales of Symphonia, and 30 hours logged in Chrono Trigger (but I have a DS copy coming my way!)
My Pokemon Sapphire had 320 hours logged on it, before i lost it. I don't know how much of that was idling though :(
Pokemon Red has 150 hours logged onto it.
I've played probably 50-60 hours of Donkey Kong Country 2, which was my favorite game of all time until i played Chrono Trigger.
I have 70 hours logged into Dark Cloud on PS2.
Hmm.....that's pretty much it, most of the other SNES games I played religiously (i'm mostly an SNES gamer) were really short games, but I probably have something like 150 hours logged between SimCity and Super Mario World!
When I said I put 400 hours into Pokemon FireRed, that was mostly from hatching eggs, training Pokemon to levels where they would evolve (Dragonair and Pupitar evolving at level 55 gahhh) and generally making sure that I had one of every single obtainable Pokemon all neatly arranged in the boxes by Pokedex number. Also having one of each Unown.
Lately a ton of hours for Borderlands 2 and its dlc released so far, probably 150-250 hours and now that a sixth character has been teased and there will be more dlc and i didnt even playx through the game with all exsisting 5 characters i will end with 500 hours in some months i bet.
I am a fighting game fan normally but Borderlands 2 is damn addictive and fun.
