Loopz (NES)

Game C is very hard. It's basically a memory game/Pipe Dream hybrid. You're given only a few seconds to study a shape formed out of fitted pipes, then about half of them disappear and you have to re-assemble it.

it is valley of repose  ( ?? )   but.....  can't figure it out. beat the first level  but not sure what to do next
I am a big Nintendo fan! especially GameBoy, N64, SFC, GC. And of course Mario games
I collect SFC/N64 mainly. Some rare famicom stuff too. Also miscellaneous video game stuff.

Valley of Repose? That's the first area in the game (the winter level). The goal in the game is just to collect enough treasure to pay a debt, so just keep collecting treasures. Harvest flower pellets and enemy creatures to grow a bigger pikmin army. Find those underground caves to find even more treasure, and you'll soon be able to go to more areas and find more pikmin types.

I've gone deep into two different NES games today, only for the games to glitch me out. I got trapped in my hive on stage 22 (of 24) in Bee 52, and then I had a tank boss near the end of Iron Tank decide to crash and self-destruct in such a way that the game became unplayable. Joy.

I've been playing Gran Turismo 6.  Very clinical and Japanese approach to motor racing, but I like it for what it is.

That was the first N64 game I played when they launched - I wasn't very good at flying the planes :D

ya I prefer to just use the cars. I am at 31 balloons with 1 piece of the wiz pig amulet, all 4 pieces of the t.t amulet, and all 4 keys. i use pipsy as i find her the easiest overall to control.

I think I used to play as the little Tiger.  We got everything in the end, but I remember replaying stages again and again to get little bits.  Man Rare used to love their collectables back then didn't they.  Got a bit out of hand at one stage.

I took another long crack at Iron Tank, and had my first taste of the the final boss gauntlet. Unfortunately, I came up short and also exhausted all of my special weapon ammo. I've got a password halfway through the final city, and I'll start there tomorrow and see if I can finish this game off.

I've been playing Retro Game Challenge 2 and loving it.  Wiz-Man and Mutekiken Kung Fu are awesome so far!

I took cracks at a few NES games still needing to be beaten today. I didn't finish anything, but I did make some progress. I pushed through 10 stages of Game-C of Loopz. I beat two of the last three stages of Dudes With Attitude. And I got in some still-needed practice with Big Nose the Caveman, Big Nose Freaks Out, Go Dizzy Go (Quattro Arcade), and Silk Worm.

I've been playing the daily challenges on Retro Game Challenge 2 and loving them, easy enough so far but with a good dose of challenge, really enjoyable.  More of you should play this game it's like discovering a handful of brand new finished protos, but with the nostalgia of playing them back in the late 80s/early 90s too.

I had a friend over, and he brought a couple of NES games I'd never played before: Challenge of the Dragon and Robodemons. It's nice to have those off the ol' bucket list, but I wouldn't recommend either game to anyone.

Robodemons - to be fair that is a kick ass title for a game!

Yeah. It's a great concept for a game, in a cheesy way. You're a robot battling your way through demons in hell. But man, does it suck.

Before getting onto the business of beating NES games for the NA challenge, I played a little bit of Wario Land II for the Game Boy. Great title!

Warioland 2 is fun yes, I still prefer the original Wario Land and Wario Land Virtual Boy as the definitive titles.

To me, 2 and 3 weren't as good, then the series jumped a leap in ambition with 4 which is the standout iteration, then fall aaalllll the way down with the DS game :(
