Hi Everyone,

I have a professionally upgraded Game Boy DMG for sale! This system has been upgraded in the following ways:

- Fully back-lit IPS color display.
- Fully adjustable brightness/color wheel.
- 8 interchangeable color palettes.
- New scratch resistant glass lens.
- New Prestige DMG shell housing.
- New buttons and rubber controller membranes.
- New speaker installed.

This unit is in virtually flawless cosmetic condition. It has absolutely the sharpest back-lit display I've seen on a DMG and is fully viewable at all angles at perfect integer scale resolution. In addition, with the installed brightness/color wheel you can change the color palettes on-the-fly to suit any viewing condition or game. This unit also works just fine with flash cards I've tested, as the installed display does not interfere with system operation. I took some photos of the display with different color palettes in action, but they don't do it justice (even when viewed at full resolution). The lines shown on the screen are a result of the camera lens, and are not visible to the naked eye. This is quite simply one of the best DMG units I've ever owned.

Asking: $150 USD (SOLD)

Who, man, this upgrade is state-of-the-art. Do you do GBA SPs?

Hey there! Thanks for the kind remarks. Technically I can do GBA SP modifications, but unfortunately I don't have the parts on hand to do so.

How's the battery life? Any chance you have a pic of the insides?

Battery life depends on the game, brightness level, and volume. However, leaving it on a rolling game demo loop (at medium settings), you can expect to see around 20 hours worth of run time before it dies. Because it uses a modern LCD display which is power efficient, battery life is excellent! This is especially true when compared to a stock Game Boy which can get upwards of 30 hours worth of runtime. Considering the night and day improvement the LCD makes, I think any possible trade-off is well worth it.

In regards to pictures of the inside, unfortunately I don't have any. However, I can tell you everything was professionally and cleanly installed. Outside of some padding and a new 3D printed bracket (For perfect alignment/fit), everything looks factory. I can assure you there are no 'rats nests' of soldered wires or anything like that. Literally one main PCB, ribbon cables connecting the motherboard and LCD, and a new soldered speaker.
