I've started to collect Famicom related menko pretty hard core recently.  Menko are an old, popular kid's card game, similar to pogs but unique in some respects (the shapes of menko vary a lot, and they have things like paper/rock/scissors games printed on them).

In the 1980s a Japanese manufacturer named Amada produced several sets of Famicom themed Menko, some circular and others rectangular. The circular ones in particular are really awesome, they feature colorful designs with images from the box art of some of the most iconic Famicom titles from the 1983-1985 period.  I've had some of these for years, but only recently started collecting them in an organized way.  Nobody has ever produced a checklist of all the cards from the various sets so I am starting to work on that.

Anybody have any pictures of Famicom menko to share?  Or other stuff (Famicom puzzles, etc)?

I absolutely love things like Menko, the bottle caps and the puzzles. I would go completely broke if I ever tried to get them. Very cool stuff though.

Thanks, I'm getting into this stuff these days and will have some more posts in the near future.

Today, I added one about Amada Famicom Jigsaw Puzzles, which are so awesome.

Me too.  I wish I had collected more of it a few years ago, its getting both harder to find and more expensive with each passing year (especially the past year).

;D  ;D  ;D

I can imagine the rise in retro game prices in recent years has introduced a lot of tension into the marital relations of retro gamers like that. This was a much safer hobby when you could buy almost any game you wanted for like 300 Yen  (kidding, my wife likes Famicom games too so its all good).

Cool stuff! You have one listed as Ninja Jajamaru-kun - it's actually the first Ninja-kun game. Also, Combat = Field Combat.
