I'm sure they didn't, but did Sharp produce any games for the Famicom, or just systems and accessories?

Sharp had some part in the creation of the Family Basic software.  The cart refers to the language as NS-HUBASIC, which is Nintendo/Sharp Hudson BASIC.  That's not a game, per se, but it is software for the Famicom.

They published DK and DK Math as the only licensed multicart.

I just really started to get into Famicom after my trip to Japan where I picked one up, but I did not get a disk system yet.  Although I wanted to get a traditional FDS,  I think I may be more wise getting the Sharp due to the A/V outputs (my Famicom has static and can only be used on one of my TVs).

Anyway, now my questions.  Are any of the Sharp system colors more rare than the next?  Is there any advantages to getting different colors, for example, the red was newer and has less bugs?

Thanks in advance for your help!

AN-505 - Red (beige/gray highlights) Twin Famicom is the rarest. I've never seen it for sale, but kite mentioned it a while back. I've never heard of any color Twin being better than another.

The black one with green highlights has longer cords and turbo buttons on the controllers. It also usually costs $20-$30 more so that's a tradeoff.

Anyone know the code for the Sharp 3D System?

livefastdiefun87

there are a couple pairs of 3d goggles on ebay ATM

I think JC is looking for the product code for the Sharp goggles, not the Nintendo 3D system.

I just did a search and didn't find the Sharp brand goggles. A store used to have a pair, but they don't seem to be on there anymore.

Okay, here's something exciting. I just placed an order with one of my suppliers for a Twin Famicom that has the code AN-505B. It cost more than a normal one but I think I may be getting somewhat of a rarity here. I'll send pics as soon as I get it!

Edit: From the pictures I've found of it, it looks pretty similar to the AN-505-BK. I wonder if there is anything different under the hood.

JC

Hmm...does it have the longer controller cords and turbo buttons?
