As most people here know, I'm an absolute Rockman nut. I looooooooooooove the Rockman/Megaman series so much. All nine classic series games are among my favorite games ever. Megaman 2 is the pinnacle of the series because it improved upon what Capcom did in Rockman 1 while retaining everything that made it good. Every other Rockman game is good because it follows the same formula of Rockman 2. Even though it looks like this is where the train stops for Rockman, it's still #1 in my book.

Zelda is still in there it defined the action RPG genre, which gives it a historical importance.  Unlike many historically important video games, though, Zelda is still fun to play.  It has aged very, very well. 

This can also be said for SMB1.  There are better platformers out there, but SMB1 is still a fun game.
