i live in a pal region, and use a Chinese noac Famiclone to play mostly Chinese pirate carts,
mostly backports and hacks for novelty value.
i really like my clone for its compatibility with original accessories like the gamekey, game genie, honeybee and datach system,
however, i noticed the well-known speed issues when i play original ntsc nes carts on it using the 60-72 pin adapter.

my question is, when my clone is made in a pal region (Hong Kong and Mainland China),
and the pirate games are from the same region, does that automatically mean that Chinese pirate carts are pal conversions of ntsc games?
or do most people in asia's pal regions play ntsc games on native pal consoles,
(with the inherent speed issues)?

i'm not very educated in the whole pal/ntsc and 50/60hz science, so i would like to know if i really have to get another console just for my ntsc games.
any hints would be very welcome.

I have no idea about whether your...interesting Famicom clone can play NTSC and PAL games, seeing that it looks like it is in a custom case and all; however, all of the Famicom and Famiclone games that I own, including ones that game out of China, are NTSC formatted, or at least run on my (presumably NTSC) Famicom clones at regular speed.

yeah, i forgot to mention that, it is actually a Subor D99 that i built into an old VHS cassette,
seemed like an appropriate marriage  ;D
so, people in asia's  pal regions play mostly ntsc games on pal machines then?
i guess it's o.k, really, i didn't even notice untill i played Nightshade last night,
and the music sounded a bit slow.
no graphical issues or glitches whatsoever.
so, i'm on the hunt for an ntsc clone apparently
  ;D

No idea, but the Waixing and Nanjing (Chinese made unlicensed originals) seem to run perfectly fine on my NTSC Famicom units.  I always thought that Famicom was NTSC only, but then I saw some PAL Famiclones.

the funny thing is,
a lot of countries where famiclones are very common are pal regions,
China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and loads of others that slip my mind are all pal regions.

Thailand Famicom carts are also NTSC, at least the ones I have purchased from there.  Then again, most of the carts I purchased from Thai people were manufactured in Taiwan  ;D
