Legend of Zelda Four Swords free on the 3DS!

Right now The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is free to download until February 2nd on the 3DS!

From what I can tell right now, it's US only (could not find it when looking on my Japanese 3DS) but who knows, it could come out in Japan once Friday morning rolls around.

Is this the same version they gave away to the "3DS Ambassador" program?  Or was it something else?  I know I got a free version of Four Swords!

The only Zelda game that was given away for the Ambassador Program was The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, which of course is a totally different game.

America only, drats! This is much better than Super Mario Bros Deluxe since it's a game that can't be bought. Except for you who got it earlier of course. Well this gives me hopes that Japanese and Europeans also will have another chance to get this game in the future.

On a side note, not impressed with GBA upscaling on 3DS.  Is is that hard to include a picture option?  All that beautiful pixel art in Minish Cap quashed...

Ugh! I don't see the point in stretching a normal screen over a wide screen either. I prefer to make the picture a bit smaller if that keeps aspect ratio.

For Europe those who registed a Nintendo ID on their 2DS/3DS or linked their 2DS/3DS to their Wii U then they're already in for the free copy of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe which is this month.

It'll be nice to have a Mario game for free on my 2DS since I've finished Mario 3D Land long time ago (I've 100% and it was kinda easy).
