  Personally, I think SMB. DX (Option 7) is the best game. It includes Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan), and some bonus features in all of it's portable, full-color 8-bit platforming glory.

Deluxe, unquestionably. I always loved playing around with the fortune teller, and You vs. Boo was pretty fun, as was the unlockable artwork.

I was debating about whether to make SMB Deluxe an option or not, because it is two games in one. The bonus content is sort of cool, and the You Vs. Boo was really fun, yet a bit frustrating, and a bit difficult. Challenge mode is probably what I use the most, because I'm constantly trying to find the 5 red coins, and Yoshi egg in each level, while trying to beat the high scores.
