It did not work because of extreme corrosion so bad the wires fell off. I cleaned it but I cannot get it to work.

I tried connecting 1.5volts from AC/DC adapter direct to it but no life.

I cannot understand the wires... I'm gussing RED is +/positive and BLUE is ?? And the BLACK fell off. Looks like it connects to the right side of the motor. But then where will blue connect ?

The switch i threw away as it broke in pieces with the corrosion  :(

I'm going back home tomorrow so if you can wait a day until I'm home again I could check my spinner.

Also this thread fits better in Technical & Repair Assistance.

Thanks  :)  Yeah I can wait no problem. Have had this for ages and it never worked so what is an extra day or two  :link:

Maybe a MOD can move the thread for me as I dont know how  :help:

OK mine isn't identical to yours but it's close enough.

Red is positive like you thought and black is negative. One end of the black cable goes to minus on the battery and the other one to the middle pin on the switch. The blue one connects to the rightmost pin of the switch (if you look at the spinner from the front where the switch is). You just need to get a three pin switch of appropriate size and solder it all together.

Awesome! And wow that motor spins faaasssst  8)

The switch on mine is completely dead as are the battery terminals. For now i've wired red directly to the battery and black wire from the part that pushes with the spring directly to the negative on the battery.

Like that the spinner works like normal as in when the gyro is dropped on the spinner it starts up and stops when the gyro is removed. Only thing is there is no on/off switch and instead of battery terminals the wires are taped to the battery  ::)

Some time i will find a switch and make new terminals and get it working again.

Cheers

Glad that you got it working. :)

I timed a gyro once after I had spun it up to full speed with the spinner, and if I remember correctly it spun for a whooping 5 minutes. Quality stuff! But in the game that time feels very short because ROB is so slow. :-[
