Is the AV Famicom's video quality superior to the NES Toaster's?

Quality's about the same on my NTSC toaster and AV-Famicom (as in the newer model, not an AV modded original) - the colours are a little darker on the AV, but both give a great composite image for me.  My AV modded unit has faint jailbars, despite my efforts to get rid of them.  I didn't try that hard
