Just buy one of those multi adapters.  I use a Masterplug one with my FDS (and Famicoms for that matter):

Thanks Chowder. I'd sooner just use an official MD Supply if possible.
Thought I'd try my luck here, if not, always ebay...

I'd take a new PSU over a 20-odd year old one, but that's just me :)

I just found the MD supply reliable and someone on another forum said to be careful of the multi voltage ones, when I asked this...
So..i'll settle for an original MD (1) PSU.

doesn't the FDS have a different input voltage compared to the famicom?

I never knew about splitters for this....are there any issues running to systems with one of these...
The last thing I want is to ruin both systems (My FDS isn't here yet) it was only paid for last night anyway...)

You only need to worry that it provides the right voltage (9 or 10V DC is fine), that the tip is centre negative (and that it fits), and that it provides sufficient current.  This last one isn't an issue if you get a 1A or higher adapter - a Famicom draws 850mA and the FDS around 400mA I think, if your supply can provide more than this it'll be fine.

Match those requirements and don't buy some cheap, nasty PSU, and you can use any power supply you like :)
