Yie Ar Kung Fu, is like a prototype of Mortal Kombat in my opinion. I love Yie Ar Kung Fu, its probably my fifth most played Famicom Game.

Is Yie Ar Kung-Fu the first one-on-one fighter for the Famicom?

UglyJoe

Urban Champion was released for the Famicom before Yie Ar Kung Fu was.

Hmm...I don't even know what Urban Champion is, so I'll need to check it out. Was Urban Champion ported from another format, like arcade?

Is Urban Champion that game that's always on multicarts?

It's just a Famicom/NES game.  There is a Vs Urban Champion, if you want to count that as an arcade game.

I consider it a fighting game (albeit a very basic one), but others disagree.

Very nice. I think I'd classify it as a fighter. I'm very unfamiliar with licensed fighters, so I'm trying to get up to speed.

I rented urban champion so long ago and it was a lot of fun. My favorite part is when the police passes by and they pretend nothing is going on hahaha

Are there any differences in the official Urban Champion game from the version on multicarts? I have this on 3 of my multi's and they're all the same, but wondered if the official game has any changes.
