This is a game where you're playing as a cat and you catch letters of the English alphabet to spell words and later catch objects that represent the words. I was just playing this game on my disk system and noticed they spelled FORK as FOLK and SUGAR as SUGER. I couldn't believe it. Well, okay, I guess I can.  :P
I'll have to play it more to see what other spelling gems the game has in store.

Ooooh! I have this game! "Michael English Adventure", meant as an informal game for young Japanese kids, to learn the basics of the English language. As you have said, the game has its odd spelling flaws, but to me it's actually pretty cute, and can lead to some cheesy fun. I love how the cat reacts when you reach the wrong letter!

It's based on a manga called "What's Michael?" by Makoto Kobayashi.
A very nice manga I must say and I recommend it for all cat-lovers.

Yeah, I remember the eBay auction I got it from incorrectly referred it to "What's Michael? Adventure English". :D

I agree that it is a cute manga, in a "Tama and Friends" sense.
