What is this pokemon pirate?

I have this Pokemon pirate that I don't think is dumped yet. As I understand the Chinese reads "Pokemon Diamond." Is this a port of the Pokemon Diamond game? I don't own a console to test this on since I've moved, but I just had to buy it when I found it.

Here are some pictures I took the best I can. The lighting in my room sucks so I had to use flash on everything to get it to display as good as I can.



I hope that these pics from the manual might help some of you Pokemon enthusiasts out there recognize if it's a port or not.

It's a port of the 3rd generation (Ruby & Sapphire)  At least, that's what I'm getting from the pictures.  I have a game called Pokemon Crystal, which is also a port of 3rd gen, even though it's named after a 2nd gen game.  Yours is named after a 4th gen game (or perhaps 1st/2nd if you count the pirate. )  

The box is also like mine in terms of box size, shape, design, font, etc.  The cartridge is also yellow and has a holographic-ish label.  The only difference really is the actual label.  Which is quite strange.  That Machop is freaking me out.  Mine has a picture of Suicune (i.e Crystal)

Pretty cool little game you have there.  Trenton_net is selling games like this for around $40 I believe.

So it's safe to say this is a port of Ruby/Sapphire then, right? I looked at a video of Sapphire on Youtube and see it has a kid on a bike in the opening, and I see pictures of a kid on a bike in this game's manual so i guess that speaks for itself...

Yup.  Definitely a 3rd gen port.

Pretty cool, probably worth about 25$. Pokemon games on famicom rock.

The real clear giveaway to me that what you have there is some sort of pirate of Ruby and Sapphire is the map. That's unmistakably Hoenn, which itself is based on the Japanese home island of Kyushu flipped on its side. Anyone not so versed on Pokemon living in Japan will find it quite amusing. The same can be said almost all regions in the Pokemon world being based on regions of the Japanese islands.

That's real interesting. The Japanese like to incorporate similarities to their land into games a lot it seems.

Oh yeah, they even go so far as to have called the very first region, even in English Kanto, which is also the real name for the region around Tokyo.
