A cheap 15 or 30 watt from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart would be fine. Use rosin-core solder.

All you need is a $10 30w soldering iron but for the love of god BUY A COILED STAND to rest the iron when not in use. The bent metal they come with is useless. Buying a stand will help ensure you don't burn yourself or worse, ruin your project.
