True about them erasing themselves, but if you've got the dump, I think there's a way to restore them.

Protos are usually on EPROM chips which will lose their data over time depending on a number of factors.  There are still atari 2600 EPROMs that still work fine, so it's not anything you necessarily have to worry about in the short term.  With an EPROM reader you can dump them and write them back if you ever need to.

Oh I remember the guy resealing NES games.  I think someone actually pointed to the ebay win where he bought the cellophane machine. 

I collect NES and Playchoice stuff but I really like the famicom.  I like the community built here.  I could probably buy one of those NWC cartridges but why do it?  $7000 could buy much more famicom stuff. ;-)

OK, let's see if we can get the trade rags to write about someone in this forum.  That would be cool.

Maybe I should built a big Twin Famicom out of Plywood?  What do you think?  Would that get me in a magazine?  Maybe Veal could work on the art for the Twin Famicom? Wait, I will wire a real FDS drive and Famicom unit so it would be legit..
