Still looking for this game.  I would be willing to get the demo if that is all that is available, but obviously I would like to pay the demo price.

Thanks!

Does the 45-in-1 use the same mapper chip as the demo version, or any other cart for that matter?

I presume that the mapper component is its own chip, as normal for a FC game and the PRG and CHR data are not on the same component as the mapper, so ...

Would you please insert a picture of the 45 in 1 Cart ? and also a screen shot of the game list ?

I need:

A.)  That 45-in-1 cart.

B.)  A new computer, because the drool on my laptop shorted it out.

Everyone who is interested in Famicom/NES collecting wants that cartridge. :P

Do you know if either one more rare than the other?  If they fetch the same price, I'd like to have the original green cartridge personally.  Green is my favorite color. :D

So do these ever pop up on Yahoo Japan Auctions, or are you more likely to see them on something like TaoBao (which I have zero experience using  :()?

I believe they aren't very common on YHJ, but when they do show up, they're extremely high priced.  They really aren't common anywhere, but I think the cheapest way to get one is from Taiwanese auction sites or sellers from Thailand.  Famiac (a member on here) got the demo version for $35 from a seller in Thailand on eBay.

I would expect that the SMW demo game and the full SMW game use the same mapper data, but that the multicart has a unique component that emulates other mappers as well. This may mean that you can't just plop the JY-120 ROMs into a demo cart, but it *may* be possible to extract the memory dump of the game via an emulator and compile a new ROM that is just the standalone, full version of SMW from the JY-120 multicart.

I've done this with 'Galaxian 1989'  (the turbo version) from the common 64 and 52-games multicarts and if it works, it may be possible to use a demo cart (or any other Mapper-90) board to make a full version of the game. I'll have to see about this, and do some experiments, once my slate is clearer.

I'd love to do a board that emulates the Mapper-90 chip with 2+mB of Flash RAM so that we all can play these games that are normally unavailable stateside. Then again, I'd like to do a trip to Korea and search for them.

I'm thinking of asking a friend that runs an anime shoppe who's originally from Korea if he has any family there that can search for JY carts for me. That's probably my best bet...

^Someone has done that.  I have the full version of SMW as a standalone ROM on my old computer.

It seems to me the pirates are not very smart...  One would assume the sole purpose making pirate games is for big profit.  If one game is incredibly in demand, why not pump more of them out?
