Parodius is good.
Gradius is good.
I have a multicart with Bubble Bobble 2 (not Rainbow Islands). It's a lot of fun, if you can find it, snag one.
Snow Bros.
Mighty Final Fight.
Castlevania Dracula Special was also mentioned by other members... and it is quite fun/silly.

Some of the random Pirate ports are fun too. Boogerman for example.
