i know it's hard to find in the US release as Little Samson but i would like it for the famicom.

there is 1 CIB on eBay for 149 before shipping from hong kong...is that normal?

It's quite sought after, so you should expect to pay a price in that region.
If you're okay with a cart only copy, too, send me a pm. I can get you one if you want.

I feel the game is not that hard to find I got my copy from the web site japan game stock I paid 30 bucks for my loose copy.

Bonneville97

Cart only Id say $30-45 (reasonable) to 65.00-80 (ebay price and the like) is the current going rate. Its a very uncommon Japanese famicom cart, not as rare or as sought after as the NES version...but thats usually how it goes, rare US titles are not as rare or uncommon as their Japanese famicom counterpart.

$149 for a MINT CIB copy seems reasonable, that is if its MINTY M-I-N-T  ;)

It's a pity a lot of the best Famicom games (IMO) are the rarest. I'm just lucky to have a multicart with this game on it. 8)

This is not even near being one of the rarest famicom releases, just desirable.   ;)

Indeed. It's not really rare, but people just choose not to sell it that often.  ;)

Agreed...

Of course, one reason is that people don't want to sell good games, and don't want to buy bad games.

But I am also surprised at how rare some of the good games are... such as the well-known Contra games and Ninja Gaiden... and many other action games..
The main exceptions include almost every nintendo-produced game, Rockman 2-5, and the Kunio-Kun games.. and several RPGs for those who speak the language (final fantasy..)
Selling  Japanese games in Sweden since 2011 (as "japanspel").
