Multi cart won't load games help

I just scored a lot of nine multi carts on ebay for dirty cheap all were sold as is. all carts worked great except this one it loads fine and I can navigate through the menu fine but as soon as I select a game I can see a split second opening screen shot of the game I selected but then it just flashs right back the the game select menu I've tested on my av famicom and a clone both do the same thing. is it maybe only compatible with ceratin clones?  i've cleaned the game the pins are clean in great shape. anyone know what maybe causing this problem and if it's fixable.

It is certainly possible that it will only work on clone/NOAC hardware. it wouldn't be the first time I've seen this kind of behaviour on a pirate/HKO/TWO/etc. game, as the mapper may expect the broken nature of NOAC HW in order to correctly function.
