Ouch. Your best bet is to get a beat up GBC with a working LCD from eBay or similar and use its screen to repair yours.

that would be my worst case scenario... T_T thanks for the response...

anything else that smells cloud 9? hehe

Yeah you're not gonna find some old stock replacement GBC LCDs just sittin around for sale.  You should be able to pick up a used one for next to nothing and swap them out as long as you've got the bit to open up the housing.  Maybe a solder point or two but I bet it's socketed so should be pretty simple.

(That is, assuming you are sentimentally attached to your actual GBC--it would probably be less of a hassle to just buy another one straight up.)

i guess that would be so... thanks for another response.

You can find replacement polarizers, however the cost may be no less than another system.  :bomb:

The lcd screen is in the front circuit board and can be replaced without soldering, if you have a replacement unit.
If you reuse your existing console, you can buy a console for replacement in any condition as long as it works. The screen usually works unless there is black "goo" on it. So maybe you can even get a broken one for free for replacement.

btw, nice to see someone else enjoying the GBC console. :)
