So as some of you know im a gearhead, and ive been looking into buying anouther car cause mine doesnt have the best MPG's. anyone on this forum ever owned a honda CRX? if so how are they?

My brother owns one.

Problem is, he drives so damn fast & far it defeats the purpose of saving gasoline.

But yeah, great MPG & goes very fast; it's also useful for compact parking spaces.

However, it is one of the most unsafe vehicles to be driving if you get into an accident! The thing is like plastic. An SUV almost ran us over backing up.

CRX's are f'ing LAME dude. You should go for a vintage Honda. Im talking early to late 70s, thats the really cool Honda shit!

Sedan or hatch? By the way Civic and CRX are the same, well, almost the same.

While ago i had 88'-91' generation 25X Civic hatch automatic with transplanted engine, moonroof, climate control etc etc etc. If i would go now with 1.6l engine, i would choose the same car.

Most likely a hatch, the equivalent sedan/coupe version is the EX for that generation.

Even with the D16, that car is very fun to drive, unfortunately, Honda drivers in the Northeast have not so great a reputation so my friend got rid of the car before it was either stolen or all of the parts off it were stolen.  Didn't help that the car was a noticable "Captivate Blue Pearl."

its a hatch, i believe all Si's in 93 were. and yeah im trying to decide on weather i wanna go with a turbo or N/A for now, dont really wanna put differant pistons, cam it, or port the head yet. i do wish it was an EG6 instead of an EG3

honda=atmo. Hatch is a good choice. If you want turbo, you should go for a custom build Prelude, but you can't drift - they are both FWD.

you can 'drift' just not properly, if im going to go with a drifter type car ill go with an SR20DET swapped 240sx or a AE86......i feel this deservers an initial D thread
