Were rockman games officially produced on disks for the famicom disk system ? They are not mentioned in any famicom disk system list ? But I found  rockman 2 on a disk in an online shop ! here it is:

All the Rock Mans were carts. If you find a disk, it's a pirate.

But if you look at the table of  the game stock of the shop, it is listed wether the game is pirate or original ( in the last column). For this game it is mentioned (not pirate ). This made me confused. Here is the link of stock table:

In the table the game is called Mega Man 2

I think jc just answered it. No, its a pirate. Just because they tell you otherwise, does not mean it is true. >.> don't believe everything you read my friend or you will get in alot of trouble, specially round them internets

Series of tubes. Kite's got it about right. There's a lot of false info out there. I don't know of any list more reliable than ours, except maybe some in Japanese -- but uh...I've got a Rock Man pirate disk myself.

Someone needs a complete list of HK original pirates, like super mario world....now that would be sweet!

I've been working on that, adding what originals I know about to the games lists. So, for instance, the list includes Super Mario World, etc. If you search the list for "pirated", you'll find originals and extensive hacks. If you search for "hacks", you'll find basic hacks. I need to make the list easier to search...soon enough. :P

Did anyone notice that the picture Jabra linked to is of an Ultraman pirate anyways, not even Rockman! Also on the table it says "DUPLICATED VERSION (NOT PIRATE)" ummm doesn't that mean pirate.

Jedi Master Baiter

Duplicated as in someone used a Disk Writer?

featherplucknfilms

yeah, that's still pirated.

JC

No, using the Disk Writer would not mean the game is pirated. Pirated implies illegality. Using the Disk Writer was perfectly legal and encouraged.

featherplucknfilms

oh sorry, I didn't catch Disk Writer, as in official DIsk Writer, for some reason.  I just thought you meant disk copier.  I really don't think that's what they mean, and it's obviously not a Disk Writer written Rockman 2 with an Ultraman copy case.

madman

That pac-man is also pirated, neither of those are original Nintendo disks.
