Hello all, I am new here so I apologize if I post improperly.

I have recently decided that because I love Balloon Fight so much, it might be a novel idea to try collecting every variant of the games. This includes the NES/Famicom versions, the Famicom Mini and e-Reader ports on GBA, the sequel game Balloon Kid (plus its respective remakes on the GBC and Famicom), and of course the wacky Tingle's Balloon Fight on the DS. Those are all the tip of the iceberg however, as eventually I would like to branch out and find the Sharp X1 and PC-88 versions, the Watara Supervision clone, the Game&Watch game (both versions, may they show mercy upon my wallet), and other obscure variants (which will also require finding the systems to play them on), however I am currently focusing those aforementioned 'tip of the iceberg' games.

I would very much like to get my hands on CIB copies of both the NES and Famicom releases of Balloon Fight. I am monitoring some ebay auctions for both right now, however the NES ones are all prohibitively expensive for me and the Famicom ones seem rather turbulent in pricing as well. If anyone here would be able to sell then I would be interested in talking turkey. I can't afford to spend too much money though (50 is my practical limit for any single game), so if the market is not such that I could obtain either game for under that amount, then I will understand and move on.

Alternatively, I still need to actually obtain a Famicom. As of right now I only own a toaster NES, and in order to play the Famicom cart I would like to have the true Famicom. I have seen some loose Famicoms on ebay under buy it now which fall at the high end of the 40-65 range given in the price guide thread, however if I could get one for cheaper here then I would really like to do so. In addition, I admit to being very uninformed as to how Famicoms work with TVs and power outlets in the United States. If anyone could point me in the right direction to learn such things, then I would very much appreciate that too. I am no longer in need of a famicom, thanks to everyone who pitched in offers!

Finally, it's not exactly Famicom-related, but if anyone has CIB copies of Balloon Kid on the Game Boy, Balloon Kid GB on the Game Boy Color, or Hello Kitty World on the Famicom, then I would be interested in talking turkey on those three titles as well. The same price limit applies as was for the NES/Famicom games, so again, if that is too low, then I apologize but still appreciate any input on that matter. I have become more aware of some prices for things and have adjusted what I'm looking to pay on some of the games. Hope that the list can save time and confusion. I also apologize to any PAL friends, as I am not currently looking for any Balloon Fight games from those regions, unless there is a PAL-exclusive Balloon Fight of which I am unaware. No hard feelings PAL friends!

Thanks very much for reading and hope you have a good day  :) (love the disk-kun emoticons btw)

Edits continue below

I have done some more research and talked with more people around the net, and have updated asking prices accordingly. Hope that this helps anyone interested in parting with some items!

Balloon Fight (NES, CIB) 50-100 would be great, but online sales are pointing far north of these numbers, so if you have a CIB copy in great condition that you'd like to sell, PM me with pics and a price you'd want, and I'll see if a deal is possible.

Balloon Fight (Famicom, CIB) 10-30 would be good, this one is thankfully more common, and another one around this price ought to be around again soon (just missed the last one).

Balloon Kid (Game Boy, CIB) 35-40. The game and manual are cheap as can be, but boxes seem hard to come by, to say nothing of inserts and paperwork.

Hello Kitty World (Famicom, CIB) 15-20. This was the price of the last CIB I saw sold on ebay.

Balloon Fight GB (Game Boy Color, CIB) This game is actually pretty dang rare it seems, with the last complete copy I saw going for 250. Considering how much is actually inside (a CD was included among other things), this game seems like a neat little grail of the Game Boy Color lineup, despite first appearances. If you have a CIB that you'd like to sell, PM me with pics and a price you'd want, and I'll see if a deal is possible.

Already taken care of:

Famicom Console
Tingle's Balloon Fight DS CIB
Famicom Minis Balloon Fight CIB
Balloon Fight-e Sealed (At least if I ever get an email response back about them  ::))

Thanks to everyone who has posted, you've all been very helpful!

Good luck with your hunt.

If you don't have any luck for some time, send me a PM.
I live in Japan and can get some of the games mentioned for a small commission.

If you want a Famicom, I can get you a Famiclone (copied Famicom machine).  I have a few myself, but because I live in Taiwan, I can also find others for you if you don't like the ones I have.  They work as good as an original Famicom if not better, and best of all, the price is probably cheaper when all is said and done.  If interested, please PM me.  :)

Thanks all for replying, I appreciate all of your posts!

I have just recently obtained a Famicom, despite not expecting one for some time. It comes from another Famicom World member, with whom I worked out a deal over the weekend, and I am expecting it on Thursday. Very exciting, as this will be my first Japanese console! (Not counting Wonderswan, which is a handheld) I do appreciate all of the offers for famicoms, and am glad that people are so willing to help even a new user. Thank you all!

Also, to manuel, I appreciate your offer. I will keep on the lookout for those games, but if things get rough then I know who to call.
