If you could only own & play 1 single Famicom/NES game...

I'm with Nightstar here. I think Rockman 1 is about the same as the other Rockman games. The only real hard part of the game is the last stage when you have to fight all those bosses in a row. The Yellow Devil isn't so hard when you learned his pattern properly. It's mostly about staying calm and not messing up the timing. Just like when you meet him in Rockman 3.

Damn. I honestly don't think I could ever narrow my collection to one game. I like too many styles of games: platformers, puzzles, shooters, arcade-style action.

Me neither. I like about every genre there is and no matter what game I would choose I would probably be sick of it after a while. Tetris is fun sure but I prefer the Game boy versions of it. I think I'd pick some version of Family Basic like 80sFREAK. That would give me the most possibilities.

Maniac Mansion for NES. It's just too funny and I have only seen a handful of the possible endings.

Iron Tank, has a lot of variety and is a interesting adventure. Also maybe a multicart being they have many games.

I think right now I would actually have to answer battle kid 2 (surprisingly over all the classics)..  My friend and I are seriously having more fun with that game currently than I have had with any others for ages and I think it's difficult enough to be entertaining for a long time.

Edit:  Just realized I already answered Ghosts and Goblins.. oh well that one is a good answer too lol
GRRR!

110 in 1 multicart
There is so many good games in there, so I can play the game without swaping the game cartridge :)

It's been mentioned already, but my pick would be Tetris 2 + Bombliss. I love the feel-good cheesy music, and Tetris never gets old.

I can't decide between - Contra, Double Dragon 2 and Chip 'N' Dale!
Those are games from my childhood!
