"Greek Roman Wrestle"  code/id# FMC-PPN.

I can't find anything about this game (screenshots, label, rom, walkthrus nothing), except that it was released in 1986 by Jaleco:

However the FMC-PPN code was also listed for Smash Ping Pong by Konami.

But i found a finished auction for this and several other disk games that also listed that number.

Thought I'd try asking here before giving up on it. Anyone know anything?

I asked this at Nintendoage and got this from AJ the gym leader:
"You're about to get the most well researched answer of your life, so be prepared.

The problem with that auction is none of those carts are 'Smash Ping Pong'. None of them could possibly have the code FMC-PPN because each title's is unique. Wikipedia says it's a Jaleco game and a Jaleco game code would start with JFD-XXX. Not to mention there's another game, a completely unrelated game, with the code JFD-GRK which if this game existed would almost certainly have been it's code.

The description and game code on Wikipedia are literally pasted from 'Smash Ping Pong' a.k.a. 'Smash Table Tennis' the only change was they exchanged 'Tennis' for 'Wrestle' now usually not too troublesome, but 'Smash Ping Pong' is a Nintendo/Konami game, and if a name infringed that close I think they'd have taken some sort of action. I then checked the list of all Pal released games on the virtual console and no such game has ever come out on it, along with the fact that Jaleco never produced a game under such a name, another damning piece of evidence.

The release date's also fishy. On Wikipedia it says it was released 4/9/1986. Now the game before it in the list was released 4/8/1988 and the game after it was released 4/10/1987. All three released the same month, in consecutive days, with differing years but they fall this way alphabetically? Both other games were released on Fridays in their respective years, yet this game was released on a Wednesday? Now why would Wednesday be conspicuous? The majority of games were released on Friday (or in quite a few cases Thursdays as well) to insure people had time to play them after they bought them. Now obviously this wasn't a rule set in stone but more often than not it occured as a marketing strategy, so this could all just be happenstance.

So in conclusion I would like to say that this game has a fair possibilty of not existing at all (rarely does a game escape all means of internet searching even the most obscure game has been played by someone), or perhaps it's a pirate if nothing else. I can't necessarily be 100% sure as there's always the chance I'm wrong (I'll certainly admit that I am if it so happens) and I may be looking way too deep into this. Sorry to ramble on like that, but this mystery had me going. Please keep me posted if you hear anything I'd love to know how this works out. "

People on ebay get their info from Wikipedia.

And wikipedia gets its info from where?

So one doesn't have to research to deeply into it. ;D
