I found the load to be pretty quick on the powerpak, but the menu interface is slow to navigate so it makes the whole process of loading a game feel slow.
GRRR!

No it has nothing to do with compatibility or anything. It's just an application that can play NSF files (http://www.zophar.net/music/nsf.html). The Everdrive doesn't have it, but it's not like it's impossible to add. But you never know if they ever will.

80sFREAK is talking about the InviteNES. I would also like to know more about it.
InviteNES or whatever you call, AFAIK, does not have 512k limit for PRG, so R4MI should work "out of the box". And i'm sure(since one of developers spotted in discussion of audio output of clones and so on) more potencial for proper audio extensions.
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

That certainly sounds promising. It seems it's out of stock though. I can't even find it on RAM Factory's homepage.

Thats the main issue - hardware is good, but impossibe to get.

I think I'm going digital and selling all of my carts to pick up SD players for NES/SNES/Famicom.

Do the Everdrives work with Famiclones?   :cherry:

The Everdrive and Powerpak both work in my clone, but each clone is different so I couldn't speak for all.

Looks like the Everdrive has surpassed the Powerpak in compatibility. This list http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=340.0 shows all supported games (that Bootgod has catalogued) for both the Everdrive and the Powerpak. It's mostly the MMC5 games that doesn't work, and a few others with custom mappers and such.

I absolutely prefer the Everdrive over the Powerpak for sure.  I'll gladly trade the NSF player for the usability factor (and compatability) of the Everdrive.
