WTB: AV Modded Famicom in the UK

Hello, I'm new here! Just posted in the introductions thread.

Is there anyone in the UK that either sells pre modded Famicoms or will add the AV mod to order? Will I just have to sit tight and wait for something to pop up on ebay?

I realise I could go for the grey AV model, but I prefer the original white/red style.
Is the mod easy to get wrong? I have some experience with a soldering iron but I managed to fry the last thing I attempted modifying (a C64).

Unless you can find a mod that performs at the same quality - I would definitely recommend the AV Famicom (grey model), the picture quality is amazing and having owned both I will always go for it.

When I really think about it the AV famicom makes a lot more sense; no modding required, controller ports etc. Especially as the video quality is that much better like you say. But the original red and white version just looks so much cooler!

I guess there is nothing stopping me getting both, I just like the idea of having an original set up with my TV ready to go.

I have an AV Famicom being shipped to my house now and I have a feeling that I'm going to miss the eject button from the original.

i would offer to sell u one but im thinking aus -> UK is expensive

I dont think the quality of image is all that much different in a well modded famicom to the av variant the thing i like is the ability to use a nes control or a dogbone.
My favorite i own is the twin i dont know why but i just loved the video output it has controller isnt the best but still they clean up a treat.
