Today I ended up purchasing a second copy of Zanac as well as a second copy of Falsion, well the FDS games ported to cartridge that is.  Since I now have two of each of these carts, I think I might keep the nicer-looking cart and then sell the extra.

My question though is, without playing through the game, is there a way to determine if the cartridge is the full version or not?  I have no idea, maybe both of mine are full versions, maybe not, but I am not very good at this style of game and am not sure I could easily make it through to determine which version I have, without a lot of practice.

Thanks everyone!

As far as I know they are all complete version honestly I've never played through my FDS ports of these games. Look and see if there is any difference in the title screens saying what company ported them or little tell tale signs like that. Are the carts or labels different? Maybe check this thread for a lead. http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=2103.45

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "full version," but TCRF doesn't have any info that anything from Zanac was cut during localization:

The stage select code at the bottom may help.

I'm not sure about Falsion. Is your cart version a pirate copy? I wasn't aware that it had been ported to cart.

I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy
