Don't know if it's rare or not, but I suppose Gamekey isn't a rare thing.

I've saw this thing at Amazon UK for 30 GBP, jeez, people sure ask a lot of money for this.

I got like.. 10 boxed Gamekeys got them for free, but don't intend on selling any.

Is it worth any thing even?

If you find the right person, everything has value. I bought a bunch of 80's care bears at a yard sale for $0.25 a few years back and then resold them on ebay for $30-$50 each (I think this was right before the reissues--lucky me).

But I would think it would be worth about $10-$15.

Interesting. I didn't know there was such a device. Anyone care to throw an educated guess as to how the GameKey would actually work? The PAL NES has a slower processor and 50Hz, so this thing has to be a lot more complicated than simple Famicom-to-NES adapters.

GameKey's work as,

NTSC to PAL conversion, as so, it reads NTSC games, however, I am not sure if Famicom games do work.

I think so, back when I was small, I had Famicom type carts, most were great pirated games, which I don't have any more.

i doubt it does any NTSC to PAL conversion. most likely it just bypasses the lockout chip, so NTSC games run slow.

It could be.

50x PAL
60x NTSC

Found this on Google, this version is for the American NES.

But mine is NTSC to PAL, a bypass most possibly.

I'm not sure if this play's Famicom games. ???

Hmmm after looking at the page it just seems like another person
posting rare next to their ebay listing.
