As a Canadian, I have to say I was pretty stoked to see Videogames Live again at Massey Hall in Toronto tonight. I'm real tired right now, but I'll be sure to post pics I took and share some love for it. So really, I'm just cerious if any of you have seen it preformed and if you have any thoughts or pictures to share! This year's cosplay really was something.

Nice!
I'd like to see that, too, but no chance around this part of the world. :(

I'd love to see some (a lot of) pics and thoughts.  :)

I went to the one in D.C. back in June. Pretty good show. It was a little hilarious to see some 11-year old girl with no clue what she was doing at Space Invaders. The opening video (Junior Kickstart) and the Classic Arcade Medley were the best parts. I wish it would have music from other games, like Castlevania, instead of catering to the newer games.

Last year in band for school (you have to play an instrument for school :( )
We played a song from it.
I don't remember which one, but if i heard it i would know if it was that one :P

Actually, they DID play Castlevania at the one I seen  :D

I've gone twice, and for the lesser than Halo and Final Fantasy VII games, they mix it up; I've seen Beyond Good & Evil, too. Videogames live does a good job at playing most companies' music, except for Capcom The ONLY Capcom song they played at either show I went was the Ghosts n Goblins theme. I'd like to hear some megaman or street fighter.

Went to san fransisco show last night

they played castlevania, although some of the castlevania songs in their mix were from newer castlevania games, would have preferred if it was all retro

only like 30 seconds of vampire killer was dissapointing.

the mario piano dude was amazing, he played so fast.

im sick of hearing one winged angel,

another gripe was why the fuck were they playing shit from lair, mass effect, etc.

i mean they even brought the composer from lair on stage, i felt bad for him since his game apparently sucks ass.
needed less american games and more classic japanese ones, i dont care about lair or mass effect

playing the halo theme was fine i guess, i like halo.

overall though, it was awesome

Kite, I'm pretty sure it changes every year. In 2006 they had Advent Rising Lair and Beyond Good & Evil but this year they had local bands and a few other things I either liked or didn't care for either, like the music from Civilization and the EA Harry Potter games. The reason why I guess there are so many American games is because its easier and cheaper to get the rights to preform their music and also because the target audience of gamers is so varied: from the people I talked to after the show, there were a lot of PC gamers, console gamers, retro gamers (like myself) female gamers younger gamers and parents. Taking all that into account, its hard to please everyone. I wish they'd do more Capcom stuff myself but alas I'm just glad to have seen it in the first place.
