Let's all congratulate Kris on his upcomming wedding! If you bid on his auctions frequently you know he's going to be away getting hitched for two weeks! Thanks Kris for all your great auctions, your a fine member of the Famicom fan community. Again, congratuations on the wedding and good luck!

WOW, I got my own wedding thread  ;D thanks!!  Well, now I'm back from a beautiful wedding and honeymoon in LA and the Caribbean.  It's too bad it's over but now I can start bringin you some more great stuff again (even though I will be going back to Cali a couple times in the next couple months).  I've had a few suprises lying around for a while that I haven't gotten around to listing including (something you wouldn't be interested in vealcop ;) ) a CIB square button Famicom, some old pre Famicom Nintendo items that are rad, among others.  I've also been thinking of starting an eBay store but I don't know.  I like the auction style a lot but it's a f'in lot of work sometimes (most of the time) listing a bunch everyday.  Seems like these guys who just keep stockin' their stores with overpriced games and then waiting for someone who's gotta have it now have got it made if people are buying them.  That'd be nice to do but I'll probably just keep on working hard for you guys. Thanks to all you who are always watching and bidding on my stuff and thanks again for the congrats!

CIB square button  :o  :o  :o

dude we gotta see some pics! I hear the photography on the box is different than the traditional famicom box!

What pre-famicom stuff did you happen to grab? I posted a link to an INSANE collection of pre-famicom stuff about a week ago...tell me you got some of this stuf!!!!!

Awesome, featherpluck. Sounds like that past few weeks have been great. :)

Hmm, featherpluck with an eBay store? To be honest, I like shopping through the stores better than auctions because I find such great deals. Just about everyone looking for Famicom stuff sees the auctions. The thing with stores are that often the stuff listed there doesn't appear in any of the general Famicom searches I do. I've scored some neat things and have about 10 stores I watch regularly with awesome stuff always moving through them. If you price your stuff right, there's no problem with losing out.

And I second vealchop! Pics, pics! :D

Doc

I agree with the store idea, as I find most of my good deals through stores (Or your auctions... :P). Congrats on the wedding man. Any interesting wedding details?

featherplucknfilms

yeah I saw the link with pix of pre-fami nintendo stuff that the guy has.  very impressive, i've got a couple of those plus one that he doesn't have that, imo, would top off his collection very nicely.  but I won't tell you guys what it is so you'll just have to be on the lookout.  Also the box art for the square button is the same but just has the square button system pictured, the manual is has a slightly different cover with a circular design instead of the vertical lines.

vealchop

woah you have some of that stuff!! Is it for your collection or are you going to be selling them?

Also, how rare is that stuff in japan? Could you find it in a game store or do you have to go to more of an antique toy store type of place?

I've never seen any of this stuff in stores except for the one "big one" that I have and the store wasn't selling it, just on display.  That was in Super Potato in Akihabara Tokyo, the big retro store.  I got my stuff from auctions, I've seen a few of the things pop up a few times but a lot of the stuff in that guys collection I've never seen anywhere. So maybe some of its really rare and some of it is a little rare.  But I'll end up auctioning them off.

vealchop

Dude you're killing me! I'm gonna go ahead and take a few shots at what the "big one" is:

Nintendo sign?
Duck Hunt Light Gun System?
Wild Gunman set?

God I can't wait to get to Japan!
