i bought a twin famicom at twin godzilla (red for 130$)
i got bubble bobble and akujamou special boku dracula-kun
i like wierd games, platformers, adventure and fighting, save feature and frustration level (low) are important to me, not to mention price (no too high)
i'm interested in yumi penguin and bionic commando (hitler no something)
can you guys suggest stuff?

also, i'm using the adaptor that came with the TF, should i get a down stepping thing (120-100)? where do i get it?
thank you in advance
(edit) i forgot, i'm more interested in games that are exclusive or very different on fami vs nes, because i DO have an nes
(edit 2) how is samurai pizza cats?

Welcome! And that's a lot of questions! Let's see...the first thing you should do is check out the threads on the forum, 'cause there are a lot of them that'll answer some of these questions. There are threads about the best games to buy, the famicom-exclusive games out there, and where to buy stuff. There's also a thread about AC adaptors and power requirements.

Famicom colllecting can be expensive because you have to import stuff, but you can find deals, too -- mostly on eBay. The two games you want -- yume penguin and hitler no fukkatsu or something like that -- is might be hard to find and are usually pricey.

Maybe some others can tackle the other questions.

hitler no fukkatsu is considered expensive.

loose 50 dollars, cib more.

probably not considered a budget title, plus the frustration level is high.

you don't need a stepdown converter but those are easy to get online.

some games I recommend on disk:

nazo no murasamejou

vs. excitebike

bio miracle bokutte upa

super mario bros 2 (disk version)

metroid (japanese version has save feature, thats why)

kid icarus (same as metroid here)

smash ping pong

ganbare goemon 1

ganbare goemon 2

just to name a few games to check out

So I recently purchased a brand new copy of Metroid for the disk system off ebay(Don't worry I won't open it  :P) the other day and have since decided that I want to get into playing some Famicom games.  I am a college kid currently so I don't really have money to purchase a Famicom, so I am going the converter route.  Currently looking for a NES game with the converter, but thats probably for another thread....

So my question is, what are some good games that I should pick up to begin my Famicom adventure?

Well, since you have no games right now, If you can I'd suggest getting a simple multicart. You'll get a lot of common classic games that will be fun to play. Search for a multicart in the Buy/Sell/Trade section! They're common, so it shouldn't be too hard to find and it should be cheap.

Well that is a good possibility I didn't think of.

I guess the only thing with that is I am a game collector as well so I would
kinda like to build up my collection in the process of finding stuff to play.
