A little while ago I bought replacement NES PPU and CPU to put into my hardware clone Famicom. Now I want to replace the clone controller with an NES one, but the controllers are f course, hardwired to the motherboard like the HVC-001. I plan to pull out the player one socket cut it and solder on an NES controller.

I tried wiring that up, but it's not working.

So on to plan B: I need help understanding my Famiclone's controller pins starting from the board.

Here are several high res pictures of the motherboard. Hopefully someone can help me figure out which pins are the ground clock strobe data and +5v.

I'm only concerned with the Player 1 controller socket.

Looking at the player 1 controller connector, I think that it goes from left to right,

+5v, clock, strobe, data, ground.

Can anyone confirm? I'm sorry I'm not very knowledge about this stuff, but I am eager to learn.

I like when people put real NES chips in clones! Also I am sorry I cannot assist, I don't know pinouts at all.
