My U.S history teacher had us write a personal narrative on 9/11, and I wrote about how kids my age don't really remember 9/11 for what it was, because we were little kids.  We got to go home really early that day, and then my grandparents told me about it, and then it kind of made sense to me, but I was still a first grader, so there was still stuff I didn't understand.

People your age are the youngest that will ever really have any concept of what it meant at the time. People that are any younger than like 16 will be like we all are with Pearl Harbor I think.

That's how I feel about it too. I remember the day, I remember being in 2nd grade and the principal's announcement, but I didn't fully understand what had happened. I actually remember a discussion we had in 5th grade with a new teacher who came from NYC better than I remember the actual day.
Hey people, TRG still exists. Come join the meh-ness.

I was only informed when I came home from school. :upsetroll: I wasn't aware of what just happened at the time. Everyone was gathered around the television and was worried about my Grandfather who was at a meeting elsewhere that day.
