I got a pirate disk today with a label that says Multi Copy Master 9.9? Anyone know what it does? A few of the English words on the label are "copy game doctor," "magic copy," "copy m.c.," "copy only," and "speed test."

Copy Master is used to copy disks.  It requires a game doctor.  You can also tune the speed of your FDS.

I think you have a game doctor right?  This along with an FDSLoader cable will allow you to rewrite disks.

Yeah, I've got the Game Doctor. I don't have the cable. Where can I get one?

chimyfolkbutter

You will have to make one.  It is not hard but it is tedious.

JC

What parts would I need to make one? :)

JC

Thanks, man. I found it. :) Now we'll see how competent I am to actually do it.

JC

I got three more interesting disks. Maybe someone can tell me what they do:

Copy Master 1.0/M.C. Copy
Converter V3.0/Converter V1.0
Disk Killer/Hacker V1.2

More copy programs.  CopyMaster is the Bung utility to copy disk.  Disk Hacker is another flavor.  That doesn't need a game doctor.  I have never heard of the other one.

JC, I would like a dump of those programs.  How is the FDS cable coming along?  Let me know if you need help.

Let me get everything working, and we'll see about those dumps. I've been having trouble with my FDS -- now I've got two extras, so I'm sure I can get one up and running . And I haven't started with the loader cable, but thanks for the offer of help. I'll probably need it. :)

chimyfolkbutter

What kind of FDS problems are you having?

JC

It must be RF or something with the channel. I can get a picture but there's a lot of snow.

madman

Unfixable, place all FDS items in a box and ship to me  ;D

JC

:D You know, I've never been able to get a perfect picture on my Famicom or FDS. It's such a bitch. I need to get an AV Famicom.
