I would like to know more about the Nintendo Silver Box series. Is this some special collectible series or is it just that the boxes themselves look cool? Are they early releases? They must have been released after the small box games anyways.

They're re-releases of many of the "tiny box" series of games (the first 16 first-party published titles) with the Famicom Family marking to match the box size and style of their "second box" era titles.  Some of them are hard to find because they didn't re-release many copies of each one.  The cart labels also match the later games (picture carts) instead of being pulse line carts.

They're really bland-looking and not originals, just re-issues.  The original tiny-box releases are way cooler and less expensive.

Yea, but the originals are usually in bad condition...

So the carts for the silver series are all with picture? Alright that makes sense.
