Bandai Hypershot Gun

I dont have experience with this cause I only had the Nintendo Light Gun growing up and still have it now. But Ive always wanted a gun that I could use to play with Operation Wolf style of games so here are my concerns.

Would the Hypershot work for that?
What price is it generally a good buy? (I dont mind paying the actual cost, as long as Im not getting ripped >.<)
What are the other alternatives if any?
And lastly, what are the good recommended games out there?
